    Pros: Wonderful Freezer Effect

    Nice Heft/Weight

    Really Inexpensive

High quality — you’d think they were expensive

This is a great Beer Mug Set. Excellent heft and shape. I keep them in my freezer, and they frost over when I take them out. Really — a wonderful thin layer of actual ice covers the surface — which is fabulous for a good pint of beer.

My friends have commented that I shouldn’t have such good beer mugs since I’m a girl and not a football fan :) (though I can do my share of chugging). In any case, these mugs get mass approval from all my guests at parties. They have no idea how inexpensive they actually are. I’m buying multiple sets as gifts this holiday season — not just because they’re inexpensive, but because they really are the perfect beer mugs.

Really, you don’t need to look any further. These are the mugs to get.

I just leave these in the freezer and pull them out for a cold beer. There’s nothing fancy about them, but they are solid and have good weight to them. For the price, they’re perfect!

I ordered 3 sets (12 glasses) of these for Christmas, and none of them arrived broken or otherwise damaged. They are very thick mugs and great for frosting. For the price, you can’t beat them.

I was looking to buy some decent beer mugs and came across the Libbey mugs on the internet. While shopping, I found these same mugs at my local Kohls store, so I purchased them. They are good heavy mugs that give you a good frosted brew. However they are smaller than what I expected. They are actually 6 inches tall by 3 1/8 inch outer diameter rather than the dimensions posted on the net, even though they are the same mugs, item number 5020.
It would be nice if they were a bit larger, but they are still good solid beer mugs. I would recommend them. Bottoms up.

I use these mugs to serve frosty drinks in my cafe. My customers love them. They’ve also held up well from the rigors of hand washing and cafe use. Will certainly buy them again as needed. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the mugs have a ridge down the middle of the handle that runs from the rim of the glass all the way to the rim on the other side. It really needs to be sanded down. Other than that, the mugs are great.

I really like these mugs. I’m a home brewer and specifically got these to keep in the freezer for when I want a cold brew. They’ve worked excellent for this purpose and have held up well. Being clinked around when hand washing or being shoved in the freezer hasn’t been a problem and they make for a very sturdy and solid mug.

They all have blemishes here or there in the glass. Nothing structural or that would be a problem but just minor stuff. I mention it only for those looking for “perfect” mugs. I think they add character to the glasses though so don’t mind them.

The only minor complaint is the seam from manufacturing is very pronounced. It runs through the handle, across the bottom then up the other side. The way most people hold a mug it won’t be hitting their lips though so isn’t a huge issue.

These are good heavy mugs that are great in the freezer for beer or filled with lots of ice for other drinks. What I like the most are that they 20 oz. and not 16, which means that they will hold more that two or three ice cubes with a full can of soda, or other 12 oz beverage. They are heavy enough to stay cold longer out of the freezer, and evenly weighted so they are not easily knocked over. At under $20 for a set of six, you can’t go wrong. They arrived well packaged and in great shape. One tip: use a little “Goo Gone” or citrus oil to easily remove the UPC stickers off the bottom of each mug before washing for the first time.

The mugs are fine. Heavy, nicely made and I don’t care about a ridge in the handle. In fact, all my mugs have ridges I never noticed until I read reviews mentioning they’re not ideal. However, by my Pyrex measuring cup, these hold just over 16 oz and that is filled to the brim. By that measure, they are not: “6 oversized beer mugs with generous 20-ounce capacity.” But who needs to drink that much anyway? They are 6 very nice mugs, with more than adequate capacity, an a great “no-slip” ridge on the inside of the handle. I like them and would buy more if I need them.

Nice, heavy glasses. Good to keep icy in the freezer and make rootbeer floats! These are worth every penny.
