It’s the 29th of December and this will be the last brew day of 2007.
Video Rating: 4 / 5
First of three videos showing a full brew day at the Millers Bridge Brewing Co, this is one of my favourite summer beers. Pale malt, first gold and fuggles, a great combination.

MAKE MORE HOMEBREW VIDS
how much did all the ingredients cost? what was your finished quantity? 5, 6, 6.5 gals?
good vid man
and i like the I am not a professional… try this at home
very entertaining vids
one suggestion you should use yellow or a bright green for your lettering shows up alot better !
keep em coming
Nice video!!!! Like the music and thank you for sharing your information.
Great entertaining video man, and i loved the out takes.
sure you should be letting it set in PVC buckets ? i wouldn’t !
haha. Nice editing.
A couple of questions on your brewing method:
- When you lauter, do you vorlauf? you didn’t do one in the video.
- When you lauter you just open the spigot and let the wort splash into the kettle. Any HSA opinions?
- Your wort REALLY foamed up in the video, I never get that when I brew. I usually BIAB though, but shouldn’t there be more proteins in solution when you BIAB? Backing up on the heat might be a solution, I don’t know.
Anyway, looks like a nice brew! Might give it a try…Cheers!
There’s no way the wort will cool quick enough without a chiller even if it’s 22 degrees outside. A chiller does the job way faster than putting the pot in the snow.
I have a question for you.
In your video it’s 22 degrees out side and you still used the wort chiller, why????
Couldn’t you put your pot in the snow for a quick cool?
What the advantage of the chiller?
Great vid and love the music.
Great vid. Got me asking questions now, you have: What were the grains like? Did they include the chaff or was it only grist? You put the Belgian candied sugar in a bag first? ? You said you made a “yeast starter.” How does that work? How long did you lager after you added the yeast? Cheers!
i am new to home brewing, i cant wait to taste my first batch
The mash tun in this video has a manifold made with cpvc. My 70qt cooler uses a stainless steel braid from a water supply line.
ive been homebrewing extract for over 2 years, been wanting to switch to all grain. when you drain your cooler, is there a screen or what do you use to keep the grains from spilling out?
Great video! I’m looking forward to starting this hobby. Your videos are very informative!
thanks.
I have two mash set ups… the first one I bought before I knew any better is used for small gravity 5 gallon batches and I have a 70qt cooler I use for 10 gallon batches.
Loved the video.
Embarking on AG myself as soon as I can build the kit.
Am I right in thinking you have 2 MT’s?
The larger coleman 48qt- is that only good for 10Gal batches? I was thinking of using one for 5Gal brews – do you think it’d be too big?
Chris
Awesome video. Love the outakes, really lightens up the whole thing.
Great job and thanks for the info
Thanks for watching. There have been 15 videos posted since this one. The most recent being the kegerator project parts 1, 2 and 3.
