    “Duck tape was first developed by the military because they needed a waterproof tape for stuff; the guys in the army who used it found it was great for anything and everything and nicknamed it “duck” tape ’cause it was waterproof like a duck; after the war someone used it on heating vents and found it worked better than anything else (well DUH!) it was manufactured and the color was changed from army green to the gray/silver we all know and love and was then referred to as “duct” tape”
