@mitchyd89 yes ebay is a great place for wine yeast.
If you can’t find yeast by your home buy lalvin of ebay. I use Lalvin E1118 and it could potentially survive up to 18% alcohol by volume. It makes wine with great flavor. Its made in canada so there are quite a few ppl that sell it on ebay.
This is called freeze distilling of the alcohol from the wine.
I have heard that you can also degas wine by putting it in the frezer for a night is this right? greetings from Holland

Winemaker are you making any new wine making videos
Thanks for the advice.
This is the winemaker speaking.You
should leave it in open vat for at least
5 days and then put into carboy with the
airlock.And use wine yeast only.vallo38
Could you go into more detail about when you should put the wine in the carbuoy with the airlock. We leave it for a few days without the airlock? Does it lessen the final alcohol content since the yeast is just reproducing and making very little alcohol. I don’t know a whole lot about it all. I always put it in the airlocked container right from the beginning. But I am not sure if the yeast population grows high enough. Thank you wine maestro.
